What AI Brand Monitoring is

AI Brand Monitoring is a saved Monitor for Answer-Engine Visibility — how often and how prominently your brand appears when large language models answer buyer-like questions. You sign in, create one Monitor with your brand, optional competitors, and a set of Monitored Prompts, then return to a private dashboard to see how those answers change over time. This is not a one-shot public report. The history lives on your account so you can compare this week with last week using the same prompt set.

If you searched for AI answer monitoring, AI prompt monitoring, or AI search monitoring, those phrases describe this same Monitor with a different emphasis — reputation over time, a fixed prompt list, or search-style coverage — not four separate products. The inputs, engines, and dashboard stay the same.

How it works

After you sign in, you define the brand and optional competitors, then accept generated buyer-style prompts or replace them with your own Monitored Prompts. We query model APIs for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity (not the consumer chat apps), judge each answer for mention, position, and related signals, and store the snapshot on your account. Coming from AI Visibility Score, your prompt set can carry over after you sign in so you are not retyping the same questions.

Re-run from the dashboard when you want a new point on the trend. Scores move between runs because models update and sample differently. Treat each snapshot as directional. This version does not send scheduled alert email when a mention appears, a position jumps, or sentiment flips — alerts are not part of the shipped Monitor. You come back to the dashboard to see what changed.

What you get

The dashboard shows Answer-Engine Visibility over time for that Monitor: a score trend, mention-rate trend per engine, and a prompt-level view so you can see which questions still omit you. History has a durable home because the Monitor is tied to your account. You do not get an email when ChatGPT drops you from a recommendation — you see that change the next time you open the dashboard and run again.
